Destined From the Start Over the span of history, blacks have consistently been underdog to the whites. Considerably after the Civil War, isolation and racists bunches were on the loose. During this time, white men were rude towards dark men. Gatherings like the K.K.K. needed nothing not exactly racial domination, and they would persevere relentlessly to acquire this objective. Numerous blacks were lynched, or even executed simply because of the shade of their skin. Coming up next are instances of this; the Scottsboro case, lynching by the Klan, and numerous types of isolation from the 1920ââ¬â¢s till 1930ââ¬â¢s. Additionally in Harper Leeââ¬â¢s book, To Kill a Mockingbird, Tom Robinson never gets an opportunity to argue blameless due to his dark skin. During the 1930ââ¬â¢s, nine youthful dark men were dishonestly blamed for assaulting two white ladies on a cargo train close to Paint Rock, Alabama. Ruby Bates and Victoria Price blamed Charlie Weems, Ozie Powell, Clarence Norris, Olen Montgomery, Willie Roberson, Haywood Patterson, Andy and Roy Wright, and Eugene Williams of this wrongdoing. The young men were captured on March 25, 1931. Everything except Roy Wright were condemned to capital punishment. They were totally indicted on next to no proof. It boiled down to two white womenââ¬â¢s words against the dark menââ¬â¢s. After numerous legal counselors neglected to win the defendantââ¬â¢s discharge in 1936, a request deal was organized where four of the respondents were discharged.
